Baked Brie Bites With Jam Recipe

Baked Brie Bites with Jam are a simple, delicious appetizer made with six ingredients.

– 1 (17.3-oz.) package frozen puff pastry (2 sheets), thawed but cold – 1 (8-oz.) wheel Brie cheese, cold – 1/4 cup raspberry, apricot or fig jam – 1/3 cup finely chopped walnuts or pecans, toasted (optional) – 1 large egg – 1 Tablespoon whole milk

Set the oven to 400ºF and prepare two baking sheets with parchment paper or Silpats.

Step 1

Unfold each puff pastry sheet on a lightly floured surface. Three long rectangles and three 3-inch squares are formed by cutting each puff pastry sheet along the seams lengthwise.

Step 2

Each puff pastry sheet makes 9 squares. Cut Brie into 18 wedges. insert each puff pastry square on the baking sheet and insert a Brie wedge in one corner (leaving a tiny border).

Step 3

Sprinkle chopped nuts over a dab of jam on cheese.  Stretch and fold the puff pastry over the cheese to make a triangle from the square corners.

Step 4

Crimp the edges with a fork to seal the puff pastry pocket.  Continue filling and crimping the remaining puff pastry. Slit each triangle's top.

Step 5

Brush puff pastry tops with egg and milk mixture. Bake 15–20 minutes until golden brown and cooked through. Serve puff pastry bits immediately after 5 minutes of cooling from the oven.
