Preheat oven to 400°F. Put parchment paper on a large rimmed baking sheet.
Place the tofu between two kitchen towels or paper towels and gently press with your palms or a cast iron pan to drain the water.
Place tofu cubes in a single layer on a kitchen towel or paper towels and weigh them down with a cast iron pan to squeeze out as much water as possible. Stand for 20–30 minutes.
Pour olive oil and soy sauce over pressed tofu pieces in a medium bowl. Mix. Mix cornstarch, garlic, onion, and cayenne in a bowl.
Toss the tofu to coat it evenly with the mix. Spread tofu evenly on the baking pan.
Bake tofu for 25–30 minutes, tossing midway. Bake until tofu is crispy and golden-edged. Enjoy!
