After it has begun to shimmer, add the onion and continue to sauté it for about three to four minutes, or until it is soft. While stirring, add the garlic and continue to cook for one more minute.
The turkey, carrots, celery, bell pepper, broth, poultry seasoning, dried Italian herbs, dried parsley, bay leaves, salt, and pepper should be stirred in.
