Oatmeal, bananas, and chocolate make excellent breakfast bars! When overripe bananas are around, make them!

Mashing ripe bananas in a large bowl makes them smooth. Add almond butter and pure maple syrup if desired. Wet substances should be carefully mixed.

Add cinnamon immediately. Add quick oats, cocoa powder, sea salt, and cinnamon to the bowl. Mix everything for a thick batter. Add chocolate chips and stir.

Place the chocolate banana oat mix in the baking dish that has been made and level it out. If you want, you can add more chocolate chips on top.

Place on the middle shelf of a hot oven and bake for 12 to 16 minutes, or until the sides are hard. I bake mine for 15 minutes.
