Easy Cinnamon Banana Scones Recipe

These scones with banana and cinnamon are big, flaky, and moist. They taste great with cinnamon and have a cream cheese cinnamon glaze on top.  

Ingredient

– 3 ½ cups All-purpose flour – ½ teaspoon Salt – 1 tablespoon Baking powder – ¼ teaspoon Baking soda – 2 teaspoon Ground cinnamon – ¼ teaspoon Ground nutmeg – ½ cup Brown sugar packed light or dark – ½ cup Unsalted butter cold and cubed – 2 Bananas ripe and mashed – ¾ cup Heavy cream – 2 teaspoon Pure vanilla extract – 1 Large egg lightly beaten. – 2 tablespoon Heavy cream cold – White granulated sugar for the tops of the scone – 2 oz Cream cheese room temperature – ⅓ cup Powdered sugar – ¾ teaspoon Ground cinnamon – 2 tablespoon Milk – 1 teaspoon Pure vanilla extract

Sift flour in a large basin. Mix in salt, baking powder, soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, and brown sugar.Mash ripe bananas with a potato masher or fork in a small bowl. Cut chilled butter into tiny pieces. Cool by freezing.

Butter into the dry ingredients basin. Smash the butter into the flour using a pastry cutter, two forks, or your fingertips. Wait a few minutes. The butter should be pea-sized.

Add mashed bananas, barely beaten egg, vanilla, and heavy cream to the butter/dry bowl. Fold wet into dry using a rubber spatula. Knead with your hands until mixed.

Dry ingredients will remain at the bowl's bottom. Knead till mixed, not over.Use parchment paper on a cookie sheet. Put dough on cookie sheet. Shape it into a 7-inch round by hand.

It must be thick. Cut dough into 8 triangles. Separate the triangles for space. Picture in post. Freeze 20 minutes.Preheat oven to 375°F. Brush heavy cream on scones using a pastry brush. Put sugar on top.

Bake 25-28 minutes. Place an empty cookie sheet on the oven's lowest rack to avoid overbrowning. The scones are done when the edges are golden brown. Before glazing, let them cool on the baking sheet for 15 minutes.

In a small bowl, beat cream cheese on medium-high for 1 minute using a hand mixer. Cream cheese chunks are prohibited. Add powdered sugar and beat on high for 1-2 minutes until smooth.

Put the cinnamon, sugar, and milk in the bowl. On medium, mix until everything is smooth and mixed.Put the sauce on top of the scones with a spoon.
