Easy Sautéed Mushrooms And Spinach With Spicy Garlic Sauce Recipe

INGREDIENTS

– 2 teaspoons sesame seed – 1 teaspoon minced garlic – 1/4 cup chopped scallion – 3 Tablespoons low-sodium soy sauce – 1 Tablespoon sesame oil – 1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flake – 1/2 teaspoon sugar – 2 Tablespoons olive oil – 4 cups sliced mushrooms, such as shitake or portabello – 4 cups loosely packed baby spinach leave

INSTRUCTIONS

In a small sauté pan over medium-low heat, add sesame seeds. Stir the seeds constantly in the pan until golden brown and roasted.

Step 1

Crumble the sesame seeds on a cutting board with a hefty knife. Mix crushed sesame seeds, garlic, scallions, soy sauce, sesame oil, red pepper flakes, and sugar in a bowl. 

Step 2

Reserve the mixture. Place olive oil in a pot on medium heat.

Step 3

Cook mushrooms for 5–7 minutes until golden brown, then add spinach. Cover the mushrooms and spinach with sauce and cook for 5 minutes before serving.
