Chewy Chocolate Brownie Bark Recipe

INGREDIENTS

– 1/2 cup all-purpose flour – 1/4 teaspoon salt – 1/4 teaspoon baking soda – 1 large egg white – 1 large egg – 1 cup sugar – 2 Tablespoons cocoa powder – 1/2 teaspoon espresso powder (optional) – 1/4 cup vegetable oil – 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract – 1 cup chocolate chips, divided

INSTRUCTIONS

Heat the oven to 325°F. Parchment a baking sheet or jelly roll pan. Mix flour, salt, and baking soda in a small bowl. Set aside.

Step 1

Whisk egg white and egg until light and foamy in a medium bowl. Whisk sugar, cocoa powder, espresso powder (optional), oil, and vanilla until smooth.

Step 2

Stir flour into egg mixture until mixed. Mix in ½ cup chocolate chips. Pour batter on parchment. Spread the batter thinly with an offset spatula and sprinkle the remaining chocolate pieces on top.

Step 3

Bake the bark 20 minutes. Remove it from the oven and cut it into squares with a sharp knife. Avoid separating the parts.

Step 4

Put the bark back in the oven for 5 more minutes. After baking, let the bark cool on the pan before breaking it apart.
