Cranberry Orange Muffins are a great mix of sweet and sour. You can make these muffins very quickly and easily. They make a great breakfast treat or snack.

– 2 cups (240g) all-purpose flour – 2/3 cup (133g) granulated sugar – 1 teaspoon baking soda – 1/2 teaspoon baking powder – 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon – 1/2 teaspoon salt – zest of 1 medium orange – 1/2 cup (113) unsalted butter, melted and cooled – 3/4 cup (170g) sour cream – 2 large egg – 2 teaspoons fresh orange juice – 1 cup cranberrie – sanding sugar, optional

Cranberry Orange Muffins Recipe

Preheat oven to 375°F. Line or grease 12 regular muffin cups.

Step 1

Mix flour, sugar, baking soda, baking powder, cinnamon, salt, and orange zest. Make a well in the mixture.

Mix chilled butter, sour cream, eggs, and orange juice. Mix into the flour mixture until blended.

Gently mix in cranberries. Put 3 tablespoons of batter in each muffin cup.

Sprinkle sanding sugar on muffin tops if desired.

Bake 20–24 minutes until muffins are golden brown and a pick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Step 6

Ten minutes on a wire rack, cool the muffins in the pan. Then transfer the muffins to a wire rack to finish cooling.
