INGREDIENTS
– 1/2 cup plus 2 Tablespoons sugar, divided– 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon– 2 Tablespoons vegetable oil, plus more for frying– 1/2 teaspoon salt– 1 cup water– 1 cup all-purpose flour
INSTRUCTIONS
Mix ½ cup sugar and cinnamon in a shallow bowl and leave aside. Mix 2 teaspoons sugar, 2 tablespoons vegetable oil, ½ teaspoon salt, and 1 cup water in a small nonstick saucepan over medium-high heat.

The mixture should boil, then remove from heat and add flour until a ball forms. Transfer churro dough to an optional star-shaped piping bag.
