The mixture for muffin pan popovers is eggs, milk, salt, flour, and butter. They may be made in minutes without a pan.
INGREDIENTS
– 4 large egg– 1 1/2 cups whole milk, lukewarm– 1/2 teaspoon salt– 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour– 3 Tablespoons unsalted butter, melted, plus more for greasing pan
INSTRUCTIONS
Set the oven rack on a lower shelf and heat the oven to 450°F. Take a bowl of hot water and put the eggs in it.
Step 1
Grease a normal 12-cup muffin pan with unsalted butter all over, including the edges of the cups.
Step 2
It's best to use a whisk to mix the eggs, milk, and salt together in a big bowl. After you add the flour, keep mixing the mixture until it gets foamy. There shouldn't be any big lumps.
Step 3
Add the melting butter quickly and mix it in with a whisk. Then, fill each muffin cup two thirds to three quarters of the way to the top with batter.
Step 4
Don't open the oven door for 20 minutes while the popovers are baking. Again, don't open the door. Lower the heat to 350°F and bake the popovers for another 10 to 15 minutes, until they're a deep golden brown.
Step 5
Take the popovers out of the oven, let them cool in the pan, and serve right away.
