Simple Guinness Brownie Recipe

This simple Guinness Brownies recipe has the best Guinness buttercream icing and chocolate shavings. They almost seem too fantastic to be true!

– 1⅔ cup all-purpose flour – 1 cup cocoa powder – 1 teaspoon salt – 1 cup butter – ½ cup brown sugar – 2 cups sugar  – 1 teaspoon vanilla extract – 4 egg – 1½ cups Guinness stout – 1 cup semisweet chocolate chip – ¼ cup dark chocolate shavings  – 1 cup Guinness stout – 1 cup butter  – 2½ cups icing sugar – 1 teaspoon vanilla extract – ¼ cup milk

Ingredient

1

Turn on your oven to 350℉. Use parchment paper to line a 9x9 inch baking pan. Save. A bowl with flour, cocoa powder, salt, and whisking.

2

Butter, brown sugar, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, and eggs in mixer bowl. Add everything and mix for 1 minute.

3

Stir for one more minute after adding the beer. Lastly, incorporate the flour mixture and cocoa, mixing until the batter is smooth.

4

Fill the baking dish halfway full of batter, then equally distribute the chocolate chips over the top before adding the remaining batter.

5

Bake for forty-five minutes. When a toothpick inserted in the center of the brownies comes out clean, the brownies are done.

6

Make buttercream frosting. Cook beer in a pot over low heat for 10 minutes to thicken and reduce like syrup.

7

Leave around 1/4 cup. After creaming butter with a stand mixer, add icing sugar and vanilla. Mix with 2 tbsp Guinness essence.

8

Not all of the Guinness extract may be necessary. Add the milk to the frosting little by little and beat until smooth.

9

Add a little more milk or a few drops at a time of Guinness extract if the frosting is too thick.

10

After the brownies cool, take them out of the pan and cover with the buttercream icing. After sprinkling with chocolate shavings, slice.
